CAN ANYONE PURCHASE FROM MIRACLE FOODS
We are mostly a wholesale company. However, if you will be in the area and want to tour the facilities or purchase directly from us, we can arrange that. Everyone matters to us, and we love to tell our story to the general public. If you want to set up an appointment, simply go to the bottom of the homepage and fill in your contact information and someone will call you or reply to you as quickly as possible.
WHAT DO YOU GROW?
We started growing Plantains this year. We also have avocados, mangos, and coconuts. There are some fruits and vegetables on the farm that grows for consumption, i.e. sour oranges, water apples, melons green pigeon peas, and yucca to name a few.
IS YOUR PRODUCE CHEMICAL FREE?
Our products are chemical-free. We use organic fertilizer. Anything we use on the farm is organic. We have not received our organic certification yet, but that hasn't stopped us from raising our produce as organic. We believe chemicals cause more harm than good and do not use chemicals on our farm. Other products we sell that are locally purchased may contain chemicals but we clearly separate them and name them appropriately. Any products we sell will be clearly marked organic or not.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A PLANTAIN TREE TO PRODUCE?
That varies on the type of production. From inception to harvest, the plantains can take anywhere from 8 months to a year or longer. Tree type and chemicals play a factor. Since we do not use any chemicals and only use organic fertilizer, our harvests take a little longer. We planted our first tree in August 2020, and the first harvest didn't occur until August 2021. If we would've used chemicals, we could have probably sped that up. We like to think that you cannot speed perfection. So we let nature take its course.
